Derivation: The white flowers are picked at night and extracted in alcohol to yield an
absolute. It takes a lot of flowers to generate a small of jasmine - hence it is more
expensive than most essential oils.

linalool, skatole, and jasmone.
Uses: It is widely used in perfumery because of its exotic aroma and its base note
qualities. It is excellent for skin assisting with stretch marks and the elasticity of the skin.
The exotic aroma is reputed to be an aphrodisiac. It is a calming oil which may also help
with muscle pain, sprains etc. Most companies sell the pre diluted version of the oil
because it is extremely expensive in the concentrated form. Tolerated by most sensitive
skins. Jasmine has been aclaimed as a very helpful sleep aid because of its relaxing
properties.
Note: As with all pure essential oils, dilute appropriately with a suitable carrier oil before
using on the skin. Do not take essential oils internally.
We produce a diluted jasmine oil (5% in sweet almond oil) which we dilute ourselves to
make the oil more affordable. The concentrate is also available but is expensive.
