Jasmine oil 5% dilution in sweet almond oil 100mls — £19.30

Latin name: Jasminum officinalie  
Source country: India, China, Egypt.  
Appearance: Dark red/brown thick oil.  
Aroma: Sweet, exotic, rich, aromatic.  
Derivation: The white flowers are picked at night and extracted in alcohol to yield an  
absolute. It takes a lot of flowers to generate a small of jasmine - hence it is more  
expensive than most essential oils.  
Chemicals: The main constituents are methyl anthranilate, indole, benzyl alcohol,  
linalool, skatole, and jasmone.  
Uses: It is widely used in perfumery because of its exotic aroma and its base note  
qualities. It is excellent for skin assisting with stretch marks and the elasticity of the skin.  
The exotic aroma is reputed to be an aphrodisiac. It is a calming oil which may also help  
with muscle pain, sprains etc. Most companies sell the pre diluted version of the oil  
because it is extremely expensive in the concentrated form. Tolerated by most sensitive  
skins. Jasmine has been aclaimed as a very helpful sleep aid because of its relaxing  
Note: As with all pure essential oils, dilute appropriately with a suitable carrier oil before  
using on the skin. Do not take essential oils internally.  
We produce a diluted jasmine oil (5% in sweet almond oil) which we dilute ourselves to  
make the oil more affordable. The concentrate is also available but is expensive.
